Light Upon Light (04/07/09) and update

Assalamu alaikum!

How are you doing? Well before I give you a summary of last weeks show, I’d thought I’d give you an update, seeing that I’ve missed the past few days.

Well I’ll be writing up a brief summary of my Saturday show just incase you missed out or needed reminding on the content discussed on it. Summary

• Discussed about deja vu and the sense of ‘knowing/seeing’ someone before though you don’t know them personally. Some hadiths were mentioned confirming about the world of the souls (aalam al arwah) and how that person we thought we have seen, has infact been seen in the world of souls before entering this world.
• Read out a little story in regards to a derelict masjid and how it cried. Moral of story being: whatever place you pray on, after you’ve left this world, it will weep in your absence.
• Islamic word was Iman which is defined as faith.
• Riddle I’m carrying over to next week so no mention here!
• Dealing with worries and stress – Went through how dhikr is effective in remembering Allah and seeking refuge in Allah.
• Qur’an segment – Went through verses 153 – 163 on Surah al Baqarah
• Also recited surah al Qariah
