Mufti Muhammad Munir uz Zaman Chishti’s son, Imam Irfan Chishti, shares stories from his father’s inspirational life.
Mufti Sahib grew up in a rural region in Azad Kashmir and devoted his life to Islam. He was taught by the great scholar Hadrat Sardar Ahmed Sahib and became the Chief Imam of a grand mosque in Pakistan. Following an invitation to serve the Deen, he moved to the UK in 1974 and then in 1986 became the co-founded of Jamia Masjid Chashtiah in Rochdale.
Irfan recalls Mufti Sahib’s lasting legacy in Rochdale is his service to others, generosity to the community, acceptance and support for all people in society.
